 i know you are kidding but just to spell it out, being a cop is not even in the top 20 most dangerous professions. Being a landscaper is more dangerous in terms of risk of injury or death at work. This is literally the exact reason for this. A significant chunk of cops in the US are unqualified or untrained. If a cop fucks up they could “easily” replace them whereas a healthcare professional would be forgiven more often because of how they need a college degree. Not saying it’s easy to be a cop, but judging by the way they select the fucking officers it makes absolutely no sense that they are forgiven for fucking murders this frequently .

 Trump's going to ram through another ultra-conservative racist judge in his last couple months as president. Even though when Obama tried to appoint Merrick Garland, a moderate conservative, it was insanely stalled by the GOP senate. I feel like we still have one juicy horror story before the election. something horrifying this administration has done that no conservative will not give. It doesn’t work like that. The current legal status would have to be challenged and make it all the way through the lower courts to the Supreme Court to be overturned.
