 That episode made me really emotional. Jack reminds me of my own Dad- even looks like him. I feel like he makes the show and Dan Lauria was the best fit for the role. One of my favorite episodes is the one where Kevin’s older sister runs away, then returns home, obviously feeling lost and confused about the direction of her life during the Vietnam war. You definitely see a different side of Jack in that episode- understanding and patience for his daughter needing guidance. He’s such a great, complicated character.

 They take any of this they'll be starting another civil war that they'll lose. I'd say let's hope they aren't that stupid but quite frankly they're going to force us to use the fourth box. I can't remember ever grieving for this country before, but if (more when) they install a new justice before the election, I feel the republic i grew up in will be well and truly dead.
