 I don't have cravings anymore or anything, I am completely over it. But the fear is something that is still there. I had surgery on my arm a couple years back and I refused any pain meds. When they went to pull the cotton out of my arm (I had MRSA) they pretty much told me that while they respect I'm trying to stay away, there was no way I could do it without pain meds. They gave me opiates, my biggest fear. As soon as it hit, and I felt that good feeling, it immediately made me sick. Sick with fear and just general disgust. Heroin took everything from me, and almost took my ability to come back from it. Luckily my (now wife) was stubborn enough to stay by my side, otherwise I for sure would've used till I died. Again.
