 It’s not about being aggressive with lockdowns. I’m from Uruguay (a country with very few cases compared with our neighbors Argentina and Brazil), and we didn’t have a mandatory lockdown, yet the decisions taken by the government were really successful. Edit: just to put it in perspective, Argentina went into lockdown for about 6 months and right now is on the edge of the pandemic and because of the lockdown they are also facing a deep economic recession. They didn’t test or trace enough. Meanwhile, where I live we were able to came out as successful without a mandatory lockdown with a huge tracing and testing system. It’s not about bragging btw, I’m not that kind of person.

 They take any of this they'll be starting another civil war that they'll lose.
