 You're not entirely wrong but I just want to piggyback off your comment. A lot of companies moved their manufacturing overseas specifically to break the back of the american labor movement. The draw of out of country and undocumented labor is the inability of those workers to organize and/or benefit from labor laws set in place in the US during the height of American labor politics. And this happens for other reasons too, a big one being able to skirt around the environmental regulations in the US.

 They take any of this they'll be starting another civil war that they'll lose.
